Summer Screamers

Summer Screamers is a summer horror film series that is guaranteed to chill you to the bone.

We’re bringing together brand-new horror and iconic throwbacks in a weekly double feature spread across two nights. Thursday night screens the latest in new horror and finds its match on Friday with a film that riffs on the same ideas, fears, or genre.

Whether you are into new, classic, slasher, psychological or thrillers, there will be something for you this summer at The Film House.

A creeping sense of dread takes root in this opening pairing, where belief, isolation, and unseen forces begin to blur.

Hokum (JUNE 11) taps into modern anxieties with a slow-burn intensity. The Witch  (JUNE 12) strips fear down to its most primal elements; faith, family, and the terror of the unknown. Two films where suspicion festers, reality fractures, and something ancient may be watching.

Backrooms (JUNE 25) brings a digital-age nightmare to life, an infinite maze of empty spaces where something always feels just out of sight. We’re pairing this one with The Shining
(JUNE 26) , a study in isolation and unraveling sanity set within the impossible labyrinth of the Overlook Hotel.

Together, they trap you in places that should feel safe but instead become inescapable nightmares.
