Share in the culmination of this epic tale about our collective downtown communities, developed by Lisa Marie DiLiberto and Charles Ketchabaw in collaboration with artists and contributors from across the country over a span a five year road trip AND with two toddlers!
INTERESTING FACT - of the thousands of interviews, hundreds of performances and installations and communities visited, St. Catharines was the first community partner outside their home in Toronto, with the unforgettable interactive performance of Tale of a Town St. Catharines.
The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is thrilled to welcome FIXT POINT back with The Tale of a Town Canada, the culminating celebration of Canadian main streets and gathering places. Still with a local touch though, including local highlights (Art's Diner, Diana Sweets, Ostaneks, The Standard, Pen Centre) a local choir (Hometown Harmony), live band (Joe Lapinski), actors (Deanna Jones) and cameos from some familiar St. Catharines' faces (Steve Solski, Mayor Walter Sendzik)!
“DiLiberto’s electric presence and extensive vaudeville and clown training help keep the atmosphere fun yet enveloping.. with songs cementing the living-scrapbook feel of this show.” - NOW Magazine
