Van Halen’s Diamond-certified sophomore release 1984 spent five weeks on the Billboard 200, only kept from the top spot by a record guitarist Eddie Van Halen had guested upon – Michael Jackson’s Thriller. It includes the hit singles "Panama," "I’ll Wait," MTV favourite "Hot for Teacher" and Van Halen’s only number one hit, "Jump."
