FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre presents
Celebrate! Holidays of the Global Village
with Chris McKhool and Friends

TUE 10 DEC AT 7PM

PARTRIDGE HALL

Celebrate the songs of the holidays heard around the world and take a glimpse into the different cultures, customs, celebrations and festivities that make up the multicultural mosaic of Canada.

Join us before the show and pick up a few treasures at the Holiday Newcomers Market in Robertson Theatre before the show from 4-7PM, presented in partnership with our friends from the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre.

Chris McKhool and friends celebrate Canada’s multicultural mosaic with songs that provide a glimpse into the many customs and celebrations enjoyed across the country. It’s a window into global culture!

Inspired by travels around the world, Juno Award nominee and singer/songwriter Chris McKhool is joined by talented performers to share songs about Bodhi Day (Buddhist), Carnival (Quebec), Chanukah, Chinese New Year, Christmas, Diwali, Halloween, Kwanzaa (Pan- African), Indigenous traditions, Ramadan, and Winter Solstice. Bring the whole family to a concert with Chris McKhool and his special guests including Coast Tsimshian First Nations Elder Shannon Thunderbird, Sultans of String, Maryem & Ernie Tollar, Aviva Chernick, Juan Carlos Medrano and more!

Performing for over two decades, McKhool has reached over 1 million children live in concert. Celebrate! is a window into many cultures from around the world and provides young audiences with a glimpse into the different customs, celebrations and festivities enjoyed in Canada. Traditional and original songs encourage us to share with our neighbours and friends and celebrate together!
