In Search of Digital Truth with Dr. Ali Emami
How Large Language Models are Shaping Our Reality
(And How We are Shaping Theirs!)
FRI 1 NOV AT 7PM
THE RECITAL HALL
In an age where digital technologies are increasingly shaping our reality, the line between truth and fiction can often blur. This presentation takes us on a journey into the world of Large Language Models (LLMs) – a powerful form of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that's quietly revolutionizing the way we interact with information. Through engaging examples and relatable insights, we'll uncover how LLMs can absorb and amplify the biases embedded in the vast amounts of data they process. We'll grapple with the profound ethical questions this raises and explore the potential impact on our society as these technologies become more integrated into our daily lives. As we look to the future, we'll envision a path forward where the development of AI is guided by the principles of transparency, fairness, and inclusivity.
This talk is an invitation to embark on a critical exploration of the complex relationship between technological advancement and our ethical responsibilities.
Together, we'll navigate the implications of LLMs and AI, not just as distant concepts, but as real forces shaping our understanding of truth in the digital age. Join us for a discussion that will challenge assumptions and inspire you to take a more active role in building a conscientious digital future.
